Dress Shoppin'

Auntie and I will embark on the first round of dress shoppin' this weekend.

I plan to use my inspiration as a starting point, and go from there.

But I want your help.

Help me find the perfect dress.

Are you married? Planning a wedding? Tried on wedding gowns just for fun?

Yes?

OK. I'd appreciate your advice. Help a girl out, will ya?

What should I do/not do this weekend? How can I make my experience memorable, productive AAAAAAND practical? This will be my first time trying on gowns.

I'll use your experiences to guide my own.

Let the fun begin!

  1. -Just focus on you.
Don't worry about the bridesmaid dresses or anything else. You are definately the first priority!! :)

-Bring a picture of your inspiration, especially if you are dead set on a specific style or embellishment.
The person that going to help you at the wedding shop is going to ask you what are you looking for. It sometimes can be hard to recreate the picture in your mind in someone elses through words.

-Don't worry if you try on a lot of dresses. They are there for you!

-Bring a camera! This will help you remember the different dresses you have tried on so you can go home and reflect.

-Try it on! Even if it doesn't look absolutely gorgeous on the rack it might on you. Hanging there doesn't show the dresses true potential.

-Think about what undergarments you are wearing before you go try on the dress. You don't want to be wearing some embarrassing underware because people have to help you get into those things! LOL

-Have fun! You might not find the dress of your dreams the first shopping trip but you will and you will look amazing.
